Returns & Refund Policy

Our Commitment

We want you and your flock to be happy with your coop. Because our coops are handcrafted to order, please review the return terms below carefully before purchasing.

Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, the item must be unused, unassembled, and in its original condition and packaging.

How to Start a Return

Email sales@qualitychickencoops.com with your order number and the reason for return. We’ll respond with return instructions and an authorization. Please do not ship anything back without contacting us first — unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Return Shipping & Restocking

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
  • A restocking fee of [15%] may apply to made-to-order coops to cover materials and labor.
  • We recommend using a trackable, insured freight service. We can’t be responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your coop arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging. We’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you. (This is why inspecting your delivery before signing matters — see our Shipping Policy.)

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you to confirm. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Original shipping charges are non-refundable except in the case of damage or our error.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom or personalized coops built to your specifications
  • Sale or clearance items marked final sale
  • Items returned without prior authorization
  • Live poultry and hatching eggs (all live-animal sales are final)
